not a big deal. I bought it for my 10 year old (at the time) in 2013 the first day it dropped. she played it for a while and then got tired of it. when you don't make a big deal out of this stuff, then neither will they. she is 13 now, and I traded her copy in when I upgraded to GTA on the PS4. btw, she never played online tho.
:russ:

I knew you were going to come in this thread like, "I let my kid play GTA at that age, you should too"
:mjlol:

just my opinion. i have 2 boys and that type of shyt is a crap shoot...how it will affect them.
i want to let them be kids, so as far as adult things, i plug the holes in the dam wherever i can
i cant give them "crime pays" at that point...

its up to you. like I said, my kid played it for a while, and then was over it as we didn't make a big deal out of it. the only games she really plays to this day is sims and minecraft. my thought is that they already see graphic stuff on tv between horror movies and action movies with profanity, this didn't seem like a big deal.

I let my 6 year old play GTA with me :manny:

Of course I didn't go on any whoring missions with him watching, but the majority of the game isn't that bad as long as you are ok with violence.

I don't know if I would buy it for an 11 year old to play by himself though.:patrice:

But then again if he's smart enough to make it to and complete the whoring missions then he can probably handle the content.

I say buy it and play it with him and see how he reacts

I'm typical cool with the violence aspect in gaming. It's the sexual stuff that I feel wrong in having any part in exposing them to that in that manner.
If it's a conversation between me and the child on some educational stuff then of course, but I don't want to just say here go play this alone in your room. Thats too much.

Nah that's too adult for him. Especially if he found some way online, that's the last place you'd want him lol I know my ass ain't trying to hear a squeaker talk up a storm.

if I remember right some of the story missions had Trevor in sexually explicit scenes and that's in addition to the side activities you can do which inlude getting head in first person view. There's definitely a lot of sexually explicit conversation too.
11 years old is definitely too young for the average kid.

I played GTA1 and 2 when I was 5. It was fun, ain't nothing wrong with violent games for kids if they're properly raised. :shrugkobe:

I feel the same way and was raised the same way as well in regards to violence.
I was clear in my post. My issue is with handing a kid a game to play by himself that shows people getting head and having very sexually explicit conversations as part of the main story.
