change ur PSN's DNS settings to Google's DNS and it should increase the speeds

Update took like 25 min for me on PSN

Even with Googles DNS settings PSN is still slower than XBL tho

Changing XBL's DNS settings to Google DNS makes it lightening fast tho

:banderas:

:wtf: How many people know about this?

Google DNS is

8.8.8.8

8.8.4.4

Put those two set of digits in the first and secondary DNS settings on any device you have connected to the internet (wired and wireless) and that's pretty much it

Works on both PS3, Vita and PS4.

I was getting like an average of 13 mbps on PS4 now it's ranging from 17-25 mbps download speeds

I was averaging like 10 mbps on PS3, now it's up to like 15mbps

Still not the greatest but its the best youre gonna get on Sony hardware

good read on the subject here

I actually did this for my cousin's son last year. He has a 12 GB model and they didn't think that it would need a lot of space. But they went to load up GTA V, it was a wrap. I ordered a PS3 bracket for like $5.00 from Amazon. Then when I got it in the mail I went to Best Buy and got a HDD. It had to be the 2.5 Sata kind and it has to spin I think at 4500rpm. You just screw in the hard drive to the bracket and then slide it into the side of the PS3. It litterally took me 10 mins to do and now it went from a 12GB to 500GB. It is alot easier than it looks and all I did was follow the instructions. To this day, it's still working fine for Junior.

I mean not to sound like any type of way but if you are only gaming on last gen consoles still you really need to stop. Even next gen is dated to me I can't play less than next gen
they have games which current gen don't. I don't need current gen, when my ps3 is still holding me down
