big malls prob only have like 20-30 years left, rent isn'tw orth it for most stores etc.

online is taken over, i can't tell the last time I bought anything at the mall, verything online is cheaper, even sites out there you can make your own suit from scratch that fit to a damn tee thats much cheaper than buying a suit at the mall

The only thing i go shopping for is at target if we need dog food or to restock. everything else i can buy online... lmao...

Is it on a "bad" or "old" side of town? This usually happens when a newer/nicer mall opens up in the area.. everyone stops going to the old one and eventually it has to close. Or resorts to stores like Burlington and Ross.. TJmax, etc to fill up the anchor spots

:mjcry: I hope not. I still like going to get my stuff physically than waiting on something

I agree. Clothes especially. Just because it looks good on the model or in a picture doesn't mean it will fit you the same or look good. I like to feel the fabrics too. I've ordered some stuff online that didn't even look the same, the colors are off, fit is horrible, and the quality is just all around bad.

recently I've been having the thought of somehow buying old malls and renovating the empty stores into living space, with other stores being used for, well.... stores.

Center court could be used for gardens and such. the spot in front of the food court could be boxed off and used as a community center.

If anyone knows about that park that was the border between the 60's and the bloods back in the day. Dudes was getting popped in that area left and right

Lol I know nothing of the area. I've heard a couple of stories from some OGs complaining about how hard they were during the 90s.

I only went to that park a handful of times when I was young. Parents was on some :whoa: stuff when I would want to go by myself because it was so close. They would rather take me to centranela(sp?) which was cool because of the size of the park and bike trails :ahh:

Blame social media too.... My Mom would drop me off at the mall and I would hang out with 2 or 3 friends all day... Then see a movie at 7.... We would walk around.... talk... Play in the arcade...

Now folks hang out online and chat
or go outside and do physical activity...

I miss the aracdes though....

It's on the good side of town...

TBH, Pittsburgh has been suffering from a population drought since the 70s so it's been emptying out....there are 3 malls in that area. One (ros park) pretty much sucked up all of the business that the other two had.

Now they have high end stores like Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Burberry, Nordstrom's, etc...

The only anchor store this has (if it could be called that) is...MARSHALL"s.

That would actually be pretty cool, if the city would allow for the rezoning. I'd trust senior citizens more than young people, though.
