Domains -Someone put me on the domain name buying game.At least link me to a thread.

You buy names and sell them. Damn near everything you can think of and variations of anything you can think of is already taken for .com so you get misspelled words/names and common keyboard error spellings, meaning the Y key is next to the T key so instead of trying to buy thecoli.com you would get yhecoli.com so the site associated with the domain gets the traffic from the people who hit the wrong key by mistake trying to come here. A website owner would buy that domain and either get a similar forum going or just something Hip Hop related and sort of leech off of what thecoli.com has already done as far as branding themselves. You have to try and buy domains with the shortest possible numbers and letters and use keywords. There are so many 'dots' these days I would say to jump on the new ones asap and buy as many as you can and then resale them later. I had a couple .info's back when they were eighty eight cents to buy and back then you could get some good one word names and some good keywords. Now if you wanted a decent .info you would have to fork out some good money to the person who owns it because mostly ever thing in the dictionary is probably taken. lol Your name has probably been registered already.

Shirts -
The t-shirt thing can be good. I signed up at cafepress way back in like 2002 but they have since fallen off big time. I was making good money especially when I started using myspace to promote. One time I jumped on a certain situation that was all over the news and literally over night sold alot of merch. But stupid me, I didn't mark up the price so I lost out on alot of money I could have made. So I would say any little trend, catch phase or controversy that happens, jump on it. "I'm Tyrone and I'm here to f**k your wife!" Sounds stupid but people buy shirts like that. The best thing is you aren't really spending money if you know how to design because the shirt websites do everything for you. All you have to do is get designs, upload them and promote them. Hell, you don't really even have to know how to design, you can just use text. You could use photoshop and put 'Back to Back' on a shirt and get some sales. See what I'm saying? Area codes, zip codes, city names. etc. I was doing stuff like 'West Side' in Old English fonts. I would go to dafont.com to get fonts and use that. Plain colors, nothing fancy but it looked nice.
You could also go to graphic design forums and get designers. What you could do is hold contest. Tell them exactly what you want, size colors etc., set a deadline and tell the winner you'll pay them x amount. This way you'll have several designs to choose from and whatever you pay will be a drop in the bucket from what you'll make in the long run. It's like telling an artist I'll give you x amount to record this song but you keep all of the royalties.

So my initial intentions were to take over the word and build a brand with it and file a lawsuit naming everytime
He used the word so I could eat off that.
Well after talking to some Patent attorneys they advised me
That even though the term is up on the trademark he would be able to prove he
Used the word first in merchandising and branding and would
Be free from liability.
