My Avast antivirus expires in a couple days and all of a sudden my computer is acting weird

I have 6 days left on Avast antivirus free version. I know this because that shyt been popping up all the time. Now out of nowhere my computer is being weird. Taskbar disappears, screen goes black and i have to restart. I T brehs is this some shyt to get me to purchase the full thing ? Also if you guys use any other antiviruses that are good lmk, thanks
