No; That was because of drugs. Different time, different influence; smart dumb nikka :ohhh:
So you mean to tell me there is a correlation between the decrease in crime and the decrease in the sale of drug use:ohhh:
Why is it that no such correlation exists for rap music:patrice:
According to you, if rappers simply just rapped about positivity and 401ks like they did in the 80s, shyt would be different
But the 80s were more violent than today by every quantifiable measure, :patrice:

You just made up a whole story in your mind instead of comprehending exactly what I said...

I almost joined a gang in Atlanta because of the music being made in the mid 00s. They made it look so cool and the bytches loved nikkas getting money in the streets too.

Blaming another man for your crimes is some weak-minded shyt. Selling drugs is a choice. Sure Jeezy was more believable than others but nah, he’s a rapper/entertainer. He could never influence me to sell drugs. If anything, he was rapping about my life more than his and he was just background/theme music. There are way bigger factors to a young impressionable man wanting to sell drugs and like another poster said earlier in this thread, it’s usually older heads around you. For me, it was my cousins and uncles. And again, it was a choice, the easy way out. I know a guy who had two older brothers and father all in prison, he went to Yale instead.

Is that why the murder rate was higher before gangsta rap was ever invented :ohhh:
Strangely I remember NYC was a more dangerous place when Brand Nubian and Public Enemy was kicking that positivity :ohhh:

Crime has dropped since the advent of "Gangsta rap" music.

2300 homicides in NY in 1993
300 homicides in NY in 2017.

Maybe he deserves a pass for saying this because hes in a tight spot right now. Maybe hes dealing with regrets.
