Teams will use this as an excuse not to get better now.

I don't don't think fans and media criticize front office management for how bad it is in the NBA.

Half the teams are just hoping the rules cchange so they can throw money at a free agent in the summer. Not actual scouting and development of the layers they have.

I just hope teams accept the challenge and do more to make their teams better.

Gsw aint going nowhere.

Well look,

Golden State was a great team with Klay, Curry and Draymond. You can't really blame GS too much for going after the best players, anymore than you can blame the Yankees for signing Teixeira and Sabathia in the same winter.

There are issues with Durant's choice to go there. But that's water under the bridge at this point.

The larger point that looms is what the Players Association feels about a possible trend of their top players accepting less money than market value. I wouldn't say it's a major concern now, but that's something to pay attention to.

There will always be owners and teams (in all sports) that care more about profitability than championships.

yeah but its not like Warriors are all spring chickens and shyt..Steph is 29. 5 years later will be VERY different. Warriors were one of those teams looking in when the Heat were a superteam. And look where they are now. Teams getting better should never stop, its just an excuse for shytty GMs tbh

NBA HAS to start scouting and developing players better.

Most GM'S strategy is to trade for a Superstar or draft a top 5 pick.

Then they fill out the roster with roll players.

It's made for a shytty product this season and it's only the beginning.

*role

but yeah, most teams want a star (or two) and role players. Cavs included.

It can make a good product in the regular season (see Thunder; All-Star Game), but
when it's the playoffs and it's time to start chunkin' 'em the real teams are gonna dominate.
I don't think this is new - but it is definitely amplified when you only have one dominant team
like now.

I could be wrong, but Golden State was really never looking in. Everybody thought Thunder and Clippers were up next, even people though the Nets could be next up, Golden State went from 2nd round elimination to NBA champions in one season, nobody saw that coming.
