My boss just reprimanded me for not "being talkative" at work

I remember i went to a job interview and was like this… one job flew me to Austin and despite me being quiet, most people liked me except one, tight pants, feminine color toned shirt wearing fakkit who unfortunately had a lot of say in their hiring process..

I did not get the job.

Another job was recommended by my boy from the military (white guy) who worked with me in the past and is very outspoken. Me and him were cool, i looked out for him in the military (taught him non-ship IT) and we both were hilarious but he knew i was more of a quiet guy.

He recommended me to them because they loved dude and he was extremely outspoken.. they interviewed me and told me I was too reserved.

He called them and told them if they don’t hire me, he’s going to quit. I got a job in South Carolina anyway so as I’m packing my truck him and the hiring manager called me trying to negotiate my pay


Long story short, I always get that bullshyt. I’m just not a loud, tap-dancing, always in someones face type of nikka but get along with mostly everyone when they get to know me.

Dude was some yoga pants wearing fakkit and I could see the non-harlem and the elitest mindset dripping through his pores.


And females feel like that A LOT. One of my closest friends was like that at first. She was wondering why I wasn’t talking, flirting, in her face like every other nikka (she’s white too) that she ran into and I was like “because I don’t know you “.

She was married too but we all ended being very cool.

White females be mad af if you not on their shyt at work, some black females too.


One cute black chick in the military was mad because I always kicked it with this Latino chick and told me “I didn’t think you was into black women…”

I dated multiple bw in the military. And she was married too . Latino chick got cool with me first AND was single.

I've never really had a problem being social with any group or type of person.

She's been dealing with this her whole life I bet. I was like this as well and people would come up to me in school like so so think you better than everyone else and you got a attitude.

In my head I'm like the fukk?! I'm not as open to strangers like my peers. But this changed naturally over time. Professionally this can hold you back if you are constantly projecting closed body language.

She's 100% right but she needs to acknowledge the negative impacts of this behavior as well, unless she just doesn't give a fukk
