Yeah, the scammer in a situation like this really gains nothing by following through with the threat. They won't get their money for one, and if anything, they just open their self up to possible exposure. These scammers prey on the weak and scared. They do this to dozens of people at a time and bank on that 1 person being a sucker who will fork over the bread.

We play rec ball on Sunday afternoons , so I pick him up like usual. Something was off bout him, he wasn’t speaking and interacting like usual.

He starts sobbing,I pull over the car. I’m thinking someone in his family died or some shyt. What he told me next had me like

He had been talking to a shorty(or so he thought) off FB for a few weeks. He sent her some D pics and other stuff . The mf is threatening to leak his pics to his family, his GF, friends, coworkers. The catfish knows where he works also. So the catfish has been charging him a $800 a day ransom to not leak the pics.

After my persuasion, He ended up calling the cops, contacting his bank and Facebook. Bank is in the process of investigating and possibly getting his money back.
