She's probably going to get it by default this session, but she needs to be gone in 2020.
First off is how she came into power. Old head news, this was middle of the Iraq war people were pissed and wanted to see teh Bush administration held to account. Nancy Pelosi started talking a big game when the spot opened up, but soon as she won it she backed off on all her big talk.
Second, Pelosi and Harry Reid were both in the "vote for Obama care then pretend it didn't happen" school instead of going to the mats explaining why it was such an important program. So, her and Reid basically let Republicans write the storyline that the ACA sucked and that stuck for 6-8 years before even Republicans figured out "hey I can actually afford good health care now"
Third, I don't care hwo good she is at backroom deals (that's what people are trying to spin us on). If you let your public reputation get trashed as much as she has, you just don't have the chops to be the face of Democrats in the House.
Fourth, most of her time she's been in the minority and getting trucked by the Republican agenda. So, in addition to not evecn being able to protect her own image, she's not doing anything for the party either. You look at some of the crazy scandals that should have been used to paint Republicans in the past 10 years, she hasn't capitalized on any of it.
Fifth, and this isn't really evidence based but I think it's time for new blood. We need new people in leadership. Under the Harry Reid, Schumer, Pelosi era, all Democratic leadership cared abotu was winning their own districts by 20 points. We need people dedicated to a nation-wide strategy not self-preservation.
Sixth, the way Marcia Fudge got treated was trash. I have no doubt the Pelosi team dredged up that shyt to tank her candidacy for Speaker. I've been watching the news, and people are speaking on Fudge like she held that judge's wife down while he beat her.
Seventh, if Trump is endorsing you odds are you're not good for the party.
