My co-worker is about to get the boot. Should I give him a heads up?

I read some of the answers in here and I gotta shake my head.... a lot of you are not going to make it and at best would be mid level in whatever career you choose....

I say this because the OP and a lot of people that answered clearly lack strategic thinking .... people kill me with the "chess not checkers" quotes but still cant simply grasp the concept of looking ahead rather than whats in front of you...

1. the dude is your colleague not your friend, you owe him nothing....its called office politics for a reason, ...grow the fukk up and think like an adult

2 its a redundancy so people are gonna be laid off regardless, what exactly is giving him a heads up gonna achieve ?, hes still gonna lose his job, what you need to realise that it was him or you, you got to keep your job because of his fukk ups, you should be thanking your lucky stars..... by you telling him sooner or later you will join him on the unemployment line

3 dude is already a loose cannon who gives no fukks now, what exactly do you think is gonna happen when you tell him hes out the door, do you really think hes not gonna approach the boss?.... I mean really dude? are you honestly this naive ........

4 your direct boss gives you confidential information and you snitch on him? ..... better start updating your resume because you have just demonstrated you arent to be trusted....when your boss doesnt like you its a wrap

5 to the idiots saying it was confidential information and dude could sue the company..... bullshyt.... he would still lose his job because they have a legitimate reason for letting him go, the worst that would happen would be his manager being fired for not adhering to company policy..... and you know what OP would be seen as the reason why manager lost his job and I guarantee you he would be out the door at the earliest opportunity.... no one likes a snitch

Out here in my damn drawls
This black guy at work was listening to rap music all loud and there were a lot of white ppl working there too. I forget what song it was, but I know it was racist towards whites and I knew the word "cracker" was about to come blaring thru the speakers. I ran all the way over there and hit the stop button like a base runner sliding into first. I sprained my ankle in the process and got fired for horseplay on the job.

That nikka still workin there too:sadcam:

Man, my one complaint (which others here have complained about also because our door is always open) ain't the reason. This dude stay taking days off randomly without calling. He has a lot of stuff up against him. And let's :whoa::whoa::whoa: this talk about me being scared he's gonna kill me. I'm not afraid of dude in any form. I'm not gonna gonna inconvenience myself for a dude who doesn't know how to carry himself in the workplace.

posting for humor only .....

I think it would be funny if the op ended up getting fired and the other dude kept his job. Maybe they told both of you the same story and they're waiting to see who will crack first :russ:

To tell you the truth I would stay out of it. Because you don't to lose your job. You already went to management about him so it's not like he's a good friend of yours. I would just keep my mouth shut and let that shyt play out. It's not worth your livelihood to warn someone that they are getting the can. It's not like telling them is going to help them in anyway. :ehh:
