You have to at least shoot mid-range shots to give the def something to think about. Boston clogs the paint & wins ugly defensive games bc Ben can't shoot. Stop looking at the stat lines & watch the games. Against elite teams w/ good coaching, Sixers will continue to struggle. They will out-talent bad & mediocre teams but that's irrelevant come April & May.

Mark my words, Toronto will give the Sixers probs as well.

I don’t think Simmons and Embiid fit very well or maximize each other’s talents.

Simmons needs a stretch 5 (which is what they are trying to turn Embiid in to apparently). If he doesn’t change his game then he has to be surrounded by shooters.

Embiid needs to play with a wing who can shoot and/or a pick and roll point guard. Sixers have him on the perimeter too much.

This is the major issue.

OK... people need to fukkin relax.

Belinelli got headhunted on defense. We replaced him with Chandler because we need more wings who can defend and not 3 pt shooters who are liabilities on defense. It's why we drafted Zhaire. Ilyasova wanted more money so we got Muscala instead. Both replacements are out injured right now.

It's only Game 1, and it was against the East favorites in their house. RELAX.
