Was at the casino yesterday with my cousin and had lost all the money I brought. I was ready to go. We had already been there for 3 hours and I drove. She still wasn’t ready to go and was like here take this $20 and we can go in 30 mins. I ended up winning $1500 on the nickel machine with the last 20 she gave me. So when we left, I gave her $120. I at least had sense enough to wait until we left cause she would’ve wanted to stay and play that and still ended up leaving with nothing.
Today a relative calls me and says she going off on me online, calling me a bum & broke. I don’t have social media. She even went as far as to say I was bumming free meals around town on Veterans Day. I was with her and another acquaintance on Veterans Day. They are veterans and we went to a couple places to eat and get freebies, but I was well prepared to pay for my meal knowing that I’m not a veteran. All the places we went, when they pulled out their ids the people just assumed we were all veterans and I got free meals and vouchers too. This is the only cousin I was still close with and I’m so done with her. She said things that didn’t need to be said publicly and it came from a place of malice. Truth be told, I didn’t have to give her anything, but instead of coming to me and say how she felt directly she goes online to drag me through the mud.
