Yeah sounds like a weak link that didn’t raise a hand for assistance so they had to move on to someone who is more capable. Sucks but that’s the capitalist machine style of work we chose to live in

As a general rule, ask for help when need it. Ppl try to low key shame you, as if asking for help is a sign of weakness... that's just insecurity speaking. I ask for help even I don't need it sometimes.

- makes it easier to gauge my skill level compared coworkers/management
- ppl see me as less of a threat to their job, especially when I'm gunning for them
- makes it easier to form relationships
- you'll actually learn something

These dame benefits apply outside the job in regular ppl to ppl interactions.

The most important reason to ask for help when on the job is to protect your ass. If you fukk you or are late on a project but you've sent multiple written requests for assistance, its no longer just your problem. Management fukked up and everyone will be looking at them. Some Indian cac supe tried to play me in my role. I had receipts and confirmations from several coworkers that I was, seemingly, purposely ignored. I switched teams, my performance skyrocketed, that Indicac was pulling the same shyt to another worker and they got rid of his ass.

She may have bitten more than she can chew and was scared to ask for help:yeshrug:. When you are dealing with data and have to work with shareholders with regards to certain info, you are going to be in the spotlight quicker when things go good and bad. Have to know your shyt or grab someone to assist w/o hesitation. I'm also a BA so I know firsthand how the game goes.

She didn’t get fired for “not asking for help”. She got fired because she didn’t complete her job which in turn made everyone else’s job harder/more timely and thus more expensive. All due to ineptitude. When you fukk up, you may or may not get fired. But when your fukkups cost the company money expect to be fired.

Can you elaborate on this? I dunno if God is speaking to my heart cause I don't like to think bad about ppl especially if it's my own friend. My dad told me the same ish about my boy. Basically this niqqa reached out to me to work for him and this is my first IT job, now this niqqa stays sh!tting on me, threatening my job security, micromanaging me about benign ish. I don't even ask for help cause he's condescending af. I dunno if it's the stress of the job or his insecurity like my pops said. I've applied to maybe 150 jobs this week alone trying to get the fuq outta here. I been here since the end of October and sh!t is visibly noticeable with his pessimism. Once I get a new job, I'm blocking him from existence on my phone including every circle of friends affiliated with him and moving on.

To top it off, the contracted company that hired me lowkey said you get 1500 for everyone you sign on that gets hired, so he monetized this ish. He didn't tell me that part. I didn't get paid for 4 weeks when I first started and the temp company was mad janky.

I would need to know more about the actual work and the breh to give a more confident answer so....the only thing you can control in your situation is how you respond. Leave, blow up on the nikka or take it on the chin. Only one of those will get you paid and job experience.

If you decide to stay, talk to him about your performance in your next meeting. Better yet, take the initiative suggest a meeting asap. Ask about you need to work on and if he gives a bunch of vague nonsense, you know where you stand with him. Either way , be humble and approach this assuming you're the problem. Even if its not true.

If this dude really is your friend, he's probably ODing it so you will take him and the job more seriously. Call his bluff. Treat him like supervisor. His attitude will change around you.

Yeah, it's stupid but jobs do this.

Personally, I'd ask all the questions early and often. Can't fire me for being inquisitive & wanting to learn within the first 2 to 3 weeks. Can they?:lupe::troll:
