I just found out I lost my father to Alzheimer's on Sunday. This morning I received a tweet from the Thursday Night Football account that my retweet of Russell Wilson's color rush jersey won and that I'd be receiving a jersey in the mail. If you know me, you know I love this team. I know this is silly, but in a moment of grief, something as trivial as winning a jersey of your favorite team resonated with me. The escapism of sports mattered to me. It matters to all of us. This getaway was/is something I needed, and it was the first thing I'd been able to smile about in a day.

Just wanted to share it with you all.
