All my Bay Area people don't patronize the Finfine restaurant in Berkley. They on some :mjpls: shyt. Went there this past week with my female cousin. As soon as we walked in the owner (I'm assuming) looks at us crazy then goes "Yes...?" No How are you doing or "welcome" just straight funny style out the gate. But we let it slide

When he said;

"Yes..":comeon:

You should've answered with
"yes, what? fukkface?:what:

Sudan/New Zealand.
:gladbron: You're Sudanese?!

Can you give me a legit fool recipe if you know one? Or maybe direct me to an authentic one online? I know there are a lot of variations of the dish, but I had a Sudanese version and it was delicious. Please, I'm desperate lol.

Yeah i am.

He is a couple of videos i like. I am surprised you like Sudanese foul, most of my Egyptian friends say our variety is too oily.

Here is a few recipe, i am learning to make.

Nah, it's not your job to prove them wrong :childplease:
That's a weird kind of mentality to have. Would you go out of your way to prove to racist cacs that you're one of the "good ones"? :rudy:

Nothing weird about it. You can either show and prove they have you pegged wrong, or, you can totally ignore them and take your business elsewhere. It's not as if you have only one option. I just choose the one with the best results and the least amount of drama. Some of y'all like to fight (on the Internet from behind a keyboard), but I'd rather choose my battles, IRL, strategically. In the case of OP, there's nothing to be lost by stepping to the offender, respectfully, and letting them know their customer service skills need improvement. There's also nothing to be lost by complaining directly to the management and just leaving.

Which Sudanese group do you encounter? Here in orange county, i rarely come into contact with my people. I have a cousin in Michigan and another Kiwi friend in Kansas City Missouri, and the Sudanese i met there were all from the South, it seems like they Southerners have a established population in many areas in the states, just like in Australia to a degree. Whereas for us, we are mostly in the Middle East. Then you have some in the diaspora especially those that look African Americans just blend in your community, whereas few blend into other communities mostly MENA as i noticed especially in my family.

Interestingly, you say "us" as though Northern and Southern Sudanese are the same. At my college the Southern Sudanese people like Thon Maker at my college all identify as blacks, and seem to pretend Northern Sudanese people don't exist.

I met 1 Northern Sudanese girl like you and she identified as an Arab, not even MENA but Arab, when she is clearly mixed race. Northern Sudanese women appear to be racist against blacks at the same or higher level than Arab girls. For a black man, it is easier to fukk an Arab girl than a Norther Sudanese girl.

But we let it slide because I heard the food was good. Figured he was just in a bad mood. But as we got our check we saw a white couple walk in and homeboy was tripping over himself to greet them. Grinning from ear to ear etc. But we didn't even get a goodbye or thanks for coming. And it's not just that particular incident but a lot immigrants in general have that haughty disposition: acting funny style to black Americans for whatever reason. Like mf we was here first and our ancestors built this country and made it possible for you to come here and reap the benefits.
Depends.
Were you dressed up or casual like you were in some McDonald's?
If you weren't dressed well, he probably got some negative vibes from previous customers who were either cheap or bad customers. They left a bad reputation and you are reaping their payback.
Not saying you should dress to impress just to have a meal, but dressing down is not a good look in some places.
