This is one of my favorite live performances. The lead singer is wearing a leg brace. That's why his pants are so wide and he's barely moving. If you look closely you can see it creasing his pants. He's also on hella pain killers. Look at how spaced he looks when the camers zooms in on his face. He's also mumbling.

Back to the bass player. Lmao, this nikka goes ham. He's wearing a white t shirt and blue long sleeve under it. Just watch him. Look how hard he's feeling himself while singing the harmonies when the video starts. Lmao, if you listen closely he's singing louder than the lead vocalist.

It gets better. Hes the only one moving on stage. And he moves all over the fukking stage and into everyone's space.

I miss and love 90s indie rock so much. Weezer, mmhmm.

I think I like this thread a lot.

So this next video is my shyt. Nirvana wasnt supposed to play this song live because it goes: rape me, rape me my friend, rape me again. They asked them to change the lyrics for the performance. And nirvana played that shyt hella loud and didn't change a single fukking word.

No back track either. That's all Kurt and Dave singing their assess off. Chris was my favorite member because he looks like he shouldn't be in the band. I miss this period in music and pop culture.

Being punk or into the alt scene meant something. Now people just Google bands. There are no more scenes. No more artists/activists.

This is my bytch Bjork. She's 5'4 and Icelandic. With a voice bigger than her body. Her voice can fill a room without the help of any instruments. She's with the shyt too. She beat up a cameraman for taking a picture of her baby.

She's can make a song with only four lines. True story.

I love this bytch. For real. One of the last rock stars. So talented. So tormented. In love. Addicted. She looks like she's going to pass out any minute. You can barely understand she says whence he speaks. She looks like a drug addicted prostitute.

Then she sings. And God damn. I can hear every moment of pain she's ever experienced. I can hear vocal chords straining because shes signing the fukk out of the song.

I love how she just walks off too. The song is very sad. They're dancing to her pain. And she's revisiting painful memories everytime she sings it. RIP Amy. Her music was never meant to be played in big venues. She was a natural.

Game changer. This song introduced me to art rock and it was over after that. I went all in on being as weird as possible.

Lol I was sure at 16 I wanted to move to LA, buy glasses, make shytty art, and write catchy love songs all day. Its so simple but straight to the point."wait, they don't love you like I love you."

She's wondering why anyone would leave someone who loves them unlike anyone else for someone else. She doesn't need to say anything else in this song.

Title is fire. Maps. What does anyone who's lost need? A map. If you're bed hopping you're lost and you need a map to find your love. Love how simple and profound this song.

That's the human romantic experience right there. We're all looking for something that we've probably walked away from in search of something.

This band was ahead of its time. They were making dark, smooth, sexy music before it got hot. They also had electronic, hip hop, rock, and blues influences in their music.

Bethany Gibbons can drink my blood whenever she wants. I'm pretty sure she's a vampire to be able to write and sing these dark fukking songs.

I don't know why Cowboy Bebop didn't get Portishead to make the soundtrack to the show or movie.

"Give me a reason to love you. Give me a reason to be a woman. I just want to be a woman." Bethany is hard on hoes for real.

If my life had a soundtrack, Air would compose it. :ohlawd:
fukk it, it might as well be High School lover. Pink Floyd-ish bass creeps in at 1:00. :damn:

'they swirl in around one another,
creating the beginnings of the storm'

Dirty Trip is surely a dirty trip. :wow:

God damn. I remember hearing this fire ass sample and I wrote a whole fukking nine track album. There will never be another Dilla in music. He could take a song, sample it, and put more soul into it than the OG cut.

Speaking of dope samples:
When I stopped writing music seriously it's because I knew I could never keep up with a cat like Blu. This nikka is a genius. Lol I should have waited until the future Era popped off and cleaned up.

Seriously, I've been listening to this song for years and I still can't call everything he's doing.

Listen. Enjoy. Learn. Reminisce.
