My fellow college brothers. What's the hardest course we've taken so far?

I totally forgot about Chem 201. The last chemistry class I took was like sophomore year in highschool. Most people took the advanced chem class their junior year but I hated our chemistry teacher so I didn't take it (it wasn't required). So it's my first semester of college, highschool didn't prepare me at all, I did't even know how to study for a real test. He basically expected us to remember all the shyt from our highschool chem classes. so I was lost day 1. It also had a chem lab class you had to take, that was insanely hard because I had a Russian TA who refused to help anyone and would actually get bytchy if you needed help. I passed with a 50%. Yes, a 50% was a D in this Chem 201 class :dead:

Calc II.

Made me switch from Computer Science to IT just off that. :wow:

But in retrospect I could've passed it. My problem was that I never studied or did homework in high school (didn't need to) so when I got to college I just couldn't deal with the concept of actually having do.

This is exactly what happened to me. I didn't know how to study when I started college. Needless to say, my first few semesters were rough.

In the Silver Lining
Stats has been trolling me for several years...now....everytime I take it..... I freeze up like them cats in "Day After Tomorrow"... this time though.... I tried a different approach... I read the books and looked at the notes...but I added in youtube videos and websites dedicated to stats and then created my own study guide...... and all of a suddent a Z - score and a T - test and multivariate regression don't seem so foreign and complex .... :jawalrus:

I got further inspiration, when I saw this black guy do a presentation and talk competently about his book that had a lot of statistical research ....... gave me extra hope....

hows that degree working out for you? (for real tho)

mine is calculus, or physics (any REAL college class :heh:), intro course, maybe its cause im not good/forgot all the math stuff needed.

Well, I haven't applied for too many jobs, but the ones I did apply for had questions about my work history gap (8 years:merchant:) Iit seems as if that is really hindering my employment opportunities. The degree doesn't seem to be an issue. I do have a friend who has a Business Admin degree and is having a really hard time finding a decent job.

I make money from producing music, but that is really inconsistent, so eventually I will have to get a job. I have been focusing on networking while traveling for my musical endeavors because I think the work history gap is really hurting me. It's all about who you know anyway, so I just gotta rub some shoulders.

Physics I and II for science majors and engineering.

That class was hard as fukk with a horrible professor teaching the class.

I had to take Calc II twice, barely passed the first time, dropped the second time. :russ: :laff: God, I suck at math.

How do you do worst the 2nd time taking the class? :why:

The one thing I will say is College taught me how to be responsible and taught me you actually have to put in work to get a good grade.

Phenomenology is the hardest class I've taken in college. Stuff like this:

I am both "being-in-the world" ("idiosyncratic totality") and "being-in-the midst of the world" (this refers to the objectivity of my body). My consciousness is rather an absence to the other than something which could be simply objectified (even when I am exposed to the looks of the Other). The consciousness that other people possess is "what they are not". I cannot objectify it entirely. Even less my own consciousness. The being of my consciousness is not equal to the consciousness of the Other. It is the consciousness of being. But consciousness sustains being, not the other way round. Consciousness exists by making itself "in the heart of subjectivity". Therefore it is not being and in conformity with its not-being it "is not what it is".

graduate level philosophy ftl, almost the entire class dropped out. Students I got higher grades than in that class were subsequently my TA in others.
