That's an insane turnaround and way too long. Something you recorded in 2025 may sound insanely dated why 2027. Two hours a week is probably why. I spend that recording a song factoring in rewriting, changing up flows, perfecting a flow, etc.
2 hours A WEEK to vested is insane. I fukk with you and some of your music. That's less than 10 mins every single day.
I hear you. I take time with my albums.
How old are you?
Do you have an album out to CD?
Can I hear your music?
Most independent artists I know who released an original album where they do a majority of the work themselves take 2 years. Even the ones I asked here.
I know a metal band that worked on an album for 9 years before they broke up. The lead singer overtook the project and its still not out. 11 years or so.
I used to drop an album every year from 20 to 28 consistently. On CD, sales, magazines etc.
But I saw that I made more money off my career outside of music and focusing on that it grew and I earned more money.
Still I've pretty much dropped an album every two years consistently.
It's because of consistent work over time. I'm proud of that. I'm no Atmosphere/ Rhymesayers but I've got my goals.
