Stay strong my dude. If he is on ECCMO he lucked out. That's the pristine and gold standard treatment for COVID. Lots of people die because their hospital cannot do ECCMO. These hospitals will never tell you that.

Your brother is sedated and paralyzed and getting ECCMO while the lungs rest so they can get stringer.

My advice to you is always be thankful to the nurses there. Ask questions about things you do not know and always be respectful. Bring old pictures of him. Ask if you can put some in his room. So people can see who he was before he became an ECCMO patient. Again I am sorry to hear your family going through this.

I’ve got a short, fuzzy memory when it comes to remembering simple things, that I didn’t have a problem with prior covid.

For example, I looked in the mirror this morning and I legitimately couldn’t remember when I flat ironed my hair.

It took me at least 60 seconds to remember I did it last night but I was completely befuddled- yet I remember things that happened 20 years ago clearly.

My mind goes literally blank and it’s not just me because my mum had it too and she AND her colleagues who survived experience the same thing.

I legit have been dealing with the same thing for some weeks now. I've been wondering wtf my problem was

I saw on FB that a young breh (not even 30) who was a popular athlete in my hometown passed away from Covid-related complications. Post was doing numbers of black people sharing and saving how the media /government wants to make covid the cause but it was a heart attack

people were Pissed!

Common sense would tell you that a young athletic bruh has no business dying of a heart attack esp since he’s not even 30

There was a single comment from an older white lady saying covid could cause heart complications

People just aren’t taking it seriously, especially young black people and it’s disheartening

My brother is fighting for his life in Orlando. He's so critical they have him hooked to a ecmo machine. His lungs are bad, his kidneys are in shock, and he has a blood infection. He coded 5 times before they stabilized him. He's in sedation now and induced paralysis. It's wrecking heartache on my family waiting for him to get better or to die. That's all your family will be able to do- wait because no one can visit you. Please take this seriously guys.
