VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. —

Volusia County Sheriff Mike Chitwood said the Department of Health is no longer giving him the addresses of places that are being monitored for COVID-19.

He mentioned this on Twitter Tuesday night.

He typically posts updates about how many cases of COVID-19 are in each city.

He says the Health Department said the effort is too time-consuming and that from his perspective, this is just another failure in a long line of government failures to confront this crisis.

He said he had started posting the locations because he believed that people had the right to make informed decisions. Not everyone agreed with him.

He finished by saying, "It's clear now that our government is so overwhelmed by this crisis, that it's up to the people to solve it. I hope we are up to the task."

You’re not understanding. This COVID-19 has long-term effects. You don’t know how your lungs are going to operate five or 10 years from now the same thing with your heart and kidneys. It appears that Covid-19 will affect people we pass the time that they catch it whether they have adverse symptoms or not.

Long term effects? So their is credible data out there of people having Corona Virus 10 years ago still suffering effects? FOH! Also it still depends on your genetic makeup and immune system. I'll be fine. I'm not worried about at all.

I don't know why people keep ignoring the long term effects of coronavirus. Look at the Broadway star Nick Cordero. Unfortunately, he did pass away from Covid, but had he not he would have been missing his right leg and needed a double lung transplant. And he struggled with the virus for three months before he passed.

That's certainly an extreme case, but people act like you either drop dead right then and there, or you have the sniffles for two weeks and get over it like the common cold, and there's no in between.

FIRST I FELT VERY TIRED.. LIKE I COULDNT STAND UP WITOUT FEELING LETHARGIC. THEN I STARTED WAKING UP WIT BAD HEADACHES. THEN I STARTED FEELING HOT, SO I TOOK MY TEMPERATURE AND I HAD A FEVER. NEXT I STARTED FEELING PRESSURE IN MY CHEST.. I COULDNT BREATHE WITHOUT COUGHING. I HAD NO APPETITE AND ANY TIME I ATE, I STARTED THROWIN UP- LOST 15 POUNDS. THEN I WAS GETTING CHILLS.

IT WAS LIKE A BAD FLU THAT WAS MORE RESPIRATORY ORIENTED... I CAN SEE WHY OLDER PEOPLE WOULDNT SURVIVE IT.

Any concrete evidence either way on reinfection? My brother had a presumed case in March then his whole office including girlfriend caught it 3 weeks ago and he ain't miss a beat. Still testing negative

They like I caught it and all I had was some soreness and a mild fever. They do not know their immune system is still not at 100%. They go out thinking all is sweet
