I used to drop Lewinsky off at the White House.
Stories is so well I'm buying in for the entertainment value
...just keep em coming

He went to my high school in Philly (George Washington Carver High School of Engineering & Science (E&S for short). He's a lot older than me....like the class of 1999-2000 (Marc Lamont Hill also attended around the same time as him). I attended from 2000-2004.
Very low message count. Hope this ain't the same click bait troll who met The Rock on TSC, while everyone's getting moist and shyt.
So gullible when you get what you want to hear, but yet so cynical of many other important things...![]()
Here's a short story - The Kobe Stimulus Package:
So, fast forward - he brings the newspaper to the shop, and they say "- is 13 cool for this??"
He said "Hell YEA, $1300 for a old newspaper, damn!"
He says the shop owner is like ", $13,000"
So, my homeboy says, not only did I end up not making $13,000, but I ended up spending $100. To get it framed.
That's the frame that is still on his wall to this day, and I may even get a pic for yall one day, if it isn't too creepy.
Kobe is worth some $$$.
More actual personal Kobe & his cousins stories coming soon![]()
So, here is the Jerry Stackhouse vs Kobe story:
Every Sunday, the ballplayers would get together and play all day. This is Kobes pops, and a bunch of Philly legends who balled in NBA, who are like in their 30's & 40's, still flying around and intimidating everyone. (He said it was at a small, nondescript gym, and is going to take me there in a few weeks).
He said it was so dope being there that if he overslept and his dad left him, he would be sad the whole day. So, basically Kobe and his fam grew up on the game, literally.
Anyway, Mo Cheeks would frequent this gym on Sundays as well, as well as some scout dude, who used to ball heavy when he could too. So, the young boys (at this time, my homeboy is a freshman, and Kobe is a junior/senior) ball on the side courts while the olders people take over the main gym.
Apparently, the scout and Mo Cheeks start razzing Kobe, who doesn't take well to being told he can't do anything. They are basically telling him, that he is a great talent, and going to go D-1 and dominate, but the NBA is another world that he isn't ready for, and Kobe is like "whatever Muthafukka" (side note, he said even as a kid, every other word from Kobe is "muthafukka" - and if you pull up some Youtube vids, he does say it when he is talking trash)
So, Mo Cheeks basically says that since the 76ers are close, one day he will bring Jerry Stackhouse to the gym, who is THE Jerry Stackhouse, NBA player, All-Rookie team, UNC legend somewhat, to show 11th/12th grade Kobe what its like to go against a real player.
Next Sunday or so, he said Stackhouse comes to the gym, and everyone is like, but not too hype because everyone there has been in or around the NBA since the 70s, so you still gotta prove yourself.
He says that they get straight to it.
Straight from my homeboys words - he said it wasn't even a "real" game. It was like a grown man playing against their little brother. He said the scores was like 11-2, 11-4, Kobe just making YOUNG Jerry Stackhouse look like, and it was unbelievable, and Kobe was like
not even breaking a sweat. It was embarrassing.
So, he says like a week or two later, somehow the media got a hold of it - as in, one of the dudes in the gym (only like 11-15 dudes were even allowed in there) leaked it to the media, but they still don't know who to this day. Apparently, Jerry Stackhouse has admitted to it, but the only things I can find in short Googles are people who were around saying "I don't know who won" or "Kobe was VERY good, it was a good game", trying to keep Stackhouse's rep intact.
But, my homeboy was there, and said it 16 year old Kobe went savage on an All-NBA player.

You missed the Lynn Greer lighting up everyone years. John Cox was c/o '99. Lynn Greer '97. I was in HS during those times ('94-'98), so I was around for the Lynn Greer, Brokenkorough, Crenshaw, Sul, JK, Yah, Alex Wesby, Donnie Carr - that era. But John Cox's dad (Cubby) taught at Penn...my brother had him for some class. He also played in the NBA briefly.
My boy from Philly Glenn who got offered by Nova used to say how nasty Kyle was on the court.I remember when Lynn Greer was lighting it up at Temple. He had a legendary run in the NCAA tournament. My pops refs Public & Catholic League games so I did follow HS ball heavy. It's so dope seeing Kyle Lowry become what he is today after seeing him in high school.
I actually went to Upenn.....Would have been dope to meet his pops.
Stackhouse was all-american, never sniffed all-nba.
Keep the stories coming though
Yooooo I've never seen this dunk from the above angle
