@DIRty Jerz, I gave your thread 1 star, but in the spirit of providing constructive feedback, here are some notes on why, in my opinion, this thread didn't work for you:
*misleading/poorly worded thread title - The reader enters the thread expecting a thread on a possible NCAA violation. This is because your wording attributes the quote to Jedeveon Clowney. A much better thread title would have been "Is this racist? CAC announcer's comment on Jedeveon Clowney" or something similar. Race threads are hot topics on this forum, so it's a bit disappointing you couldn't deliver here.
*assuming a common audience - You can get away with this if you're referencing a widely viewed sporting event like the Super Bowl or a Christmas Day NBA game. In general though, good posting involves providing some sort of context that other posters can use to assess your argument (which was, in this case, poor to begin with). "ESPN so blatantly racist...why would he be thinking that on the forced fumble" is confusing because football season is finished, and because not everyone is watching ESPN on a Sunday morning/afternoon.
If you can take care to avoid these pitfalls in the future, I think you'll be well on your way to being a quality poster.
