I have two collegeues that spoke like @flusterose and were saying they dont cook. Amd why they should have to cook for a grown man. In that same convo they speaking about being taken out and the men taking care of the bill...all while complaining about how hard it is to find a man

I swear i was in the twlight zone..so then they asked me if i cook for myself, i said yes. I then stated that when me and my girl goes out i often just pay my portion..and they were like "see, what happened to the men that pay on dates "

turned into an argument. At the end of the day i went home to my gf, and they went home without a man

I doubt they will spend the rest of their life alone. They will simply have a more difficult time finding a guy who is compatible (considering the fact that you probably never wanted them to begin with, idk why you get such enjoyment out of it). I seriously doubt cooking is the only or major reason they are single.

Also, congratulations to you that you are in a relationship where every man/woman is for themselves food wise. That's different.

How many modern western men are actually fixing anything. Of the 4 boyfriend's I've had, only one actually knew how to change oil in a car. Ya'll are seriously acting like men are living up to yesteryear's standards of being men. I'm mean yall are really in here pretending I'm sorry most of today's men aren't even half the man my dad is in regard to being handy.

Well why should they? If women dont wanna cook for there man why should we fix things? And changing oil on ur car is just one area. Thats like sayin i only met 1 girl who can make me a 3 cheese lasagna lol

That's perfectly fine. There's nothing wrong with having expectations if there are similar expectations from the other party. If a woman wants a traditional man, she should be a traditional woman and vice versa.

Plus, I never said that wasn't true, I was saying that for any woman who feels contrary to your opinion but still has expectations, that's who should be defending themselves, not me since I don't.

Not always. Sometimes i cook fo her..sometimes she cooks for me..sometimes i front the bill sometimes she fronts the bill

But the idea is that its 50/50

I remember when she last paid so ill pick up the tab another time..and shell remember when i cooked etc..we got eachother. Its just the attitude tha some women have..where its like "im not cooking for a grown man "

And then we walkin to the mall and she waits for me to open the door for her...

Bullsh!t. Cooking doesnt take that much work. What are you cooking for a football team? How hard is it to cook and make enugh for leftovers? You dont have to cook every day.

I never said what a man contributes isn't valuable nor did I down play it. I'm addressing things from the perspective of time. Cooking takes time and if a woman is working, commuting and cooking, that is taking up a good amount of time in her day. All I'm asking is that you as a man be considerate of that and realize that she may not want to use her time to cook and sometimes it'd be good for you to do it.

My girl (not my wife yet), altho she just turned 24 yrs old, work fulltime and in grad school manages to cook for me without hesitation.
