We've been married for four years. I've always been the breadwinner and he stays home with the kids. He's been really jealous of my male coworker for the last month. My boss assigned us to work on a project together that is due in a few hours. I've been working later hours with my coworker to get it done on schedule. My husband has been complaining about us having lunch together and dinner in the office. I explained to him we would be finished with the project in a month. Yesterday, he stormed in my office demanding I come home now. My coworker and I were in the middle of dinner and finishing the project. I told him I would just be another hour. He was still upset. My coworker told him he is welcome to take a seat until we finish for the day. He snapped at my coworker and I was so humiliated. My coworker was not about to get into a confrontation at the office so he said he would finish the work. The house was a mess and the dinner dishes were still in the sink. He's never been jealous like this and the house is usually clean. My boss called me and said my coworker let her know about the confrontation. She says I'll lose my job if I can't maintain professionalism at work.

TL/DL: She's a professional woman who's married to a stay at home husband. She makes all the money in the relationship. The husband typically washes the dishes, cleans the house, and takes care of the children. Husband gets mad when wife works late with male coworker.

Dude, the theres so much racism going on in the workplace that don't give black men jobs, they prefer to give black women jobs over black men. Which then creates division in black families leaving the husband to leave or assault his wife then the children have no father. shyt is fukked up

Black women are not a monolith.

And most women will eventually become resentful of a man who is not contributing financially while she has to burst her behind at the office. Add in that she may be missing her kids, and it's just not a good look. But that is not exclusive to black women.

But the respect issue I was referring to was her conduct with this other man.

He keeps the house, cooks, and takes care of the kids because it benefits them financially for one of them to stay home than to pay for daycare and a babysitter. It sounds like she loves her job and didn't want to give up her career, so he took time off of his. Or maybe he was laid off or something. It's not like he's at home all day doing nothing.

Well I can't speak on another man's business but I couldn't see myself doing that, but to each his own I guess.

If It works for them who am I to judge
