Make sure to check your states laws on recording conversations & things. Also if it is allowed make sure to check to see if it has to be announced first.

Yea def. Check recording laws 1st. Or see if you can trap her to writing it in an email. But make sure you have documentation. Hell even security footage of you working in the building if you could subpoena that once you lawyer up.
Even if they don't fire get a lawyer and start looking for a new job.

I've never had hours that I've worked cut but I've had a boss try to cut my pay...found out, complained to the Labour Board, they opened a case and suggested we settle out of court.

My boss got scared and started making threats of extortion, which I recorded over the phone. I could have started a seperate case for that and got him in really deep shyt...extortion ain't no joke. It would have cost him thousands of dollars in fines and/or jail time :merchant:

In the end, I let the extortion slide cuz I couldn't be bothered with a second court case. I got about $800 but the total amount he owed me was over $1000. Close enough though, I took the $800 cuz I didn't want to deal with it anymore.

I've also had a boss cut hours that I haven't worked, which is also illegal. It's called Constructive Dismissal. Happened twice at 2 different spots. 1 of them went bankrupt so I didn't get shyt but I got something like $1000 out of the other one....and that was for hours I didn't work so I think you will probably get more than that.

Hit up the Labour Board in your area and see what's up. They will help you figure this shyt out.

Go to a compensation lawyer or call that number (thats usually listed in A EVERY break room) thats next to the minumum wage poster.

LMAO I remember that being in the breakroom where I used to work.
