that can whip it into shape in a month. I'm a hard worker. I can squat 250, but I do legs only 1 time a week, I don't think it's enough tho.

I didn't really start to see any real significant changes until I hit 275lbs....5 by 5 doesn't seem to do anything to me. I started with 150 on squats now i'm at 255 using the 5 x 5 routine but It doesn't look any different.![]()
Honestly, I never really followed the rules with SL. I was never adding 5lbs a week....when i did stronglifts doing 5x5 i added 5 lbs to the bar every workout up to about 185
then i added 5lbs per week
then stalled at 255, and deloaded to 225
since cutting i have finally gotten back to 255. You said you were squatting 250 thats why im asking is that once or for reps. Cause once i probably could do 285-315 for 1 rep(havent attempted in a good minute, should probably do so)
the idea of 5x5 is to improve strength by upping the numbers, the lesser reps allow you to do that. Whereas higher rep routines and exercises will take alot longer in comparison to add weight
