what do you mean adding weight each workout?

are you sticking with the same weight every time you hit legs or are you adding a little bit each week. for example, you maxed out at 225 today...then next week hit 230?

when i did stronglifts doing 5x5 i added 5 lbs to the bar every workout up to about 185

then i added 5lbs per week

then stalled at 255, and deloaded to 225

since cutting i have finally gotten back to 255. You said you were squatting 250 thats why im asking is that once or for reps. Cause once i probably could do 285-315 for 1 rep(havent attempted in a good minute, should probably do so)

the idea of 5x5 is to improve strength by upping the numbers, the lesser reps allow you to do that. Whereas higher rep routines and exercises will take alot longer in comparison to add weight

that can whip it into shape in a month. I'm a hard worker. I can squat 250, but I do legs only 1 time a week, I don't think it's enough tho.

5 by 5 doesn't seem to do anything to me. I started with 150 on squats now i'm at 255 using the 5 x 5 routine but It doesn't look any different. :to:
I didn't really start to see any real significant changes until I hit 275lbs....

Now my warm-up is 3 plates.....

Honestly, I never really followed the rules with SL. I was never adding 5lbs a week....

More like 10-20lbs a week.........

Give or take, sometimes I would coast at the same weight for an extra week or two. :manny: I guess it balanced itself out......

Highest I aver attempted was 275x10 for squats and 225x10 for deadlifts...I just got a belt so no more fear with light weights. :gladbron:
