I was going to say, that’s usually the way it goes!

But when a woman who is actually vibrant/fun marries older, she will still be out and about while he is slowing down. Women in those situations may very well cheat or leave.

People downplay men’s youth and vitality too much. Yes, women value provision, but there’s nothing like a healthy, virile man. Money is fantastic but there are things money cannot buy.

That being said, whether it’s a man or woman breaking up the home for selfish reasons, it’s wrong. Gotta think long and hard before locking into these commitments.

In this day n age NAH..I come across to many brehs who are in there early-mid 40s who are still youthful and active... I could see late 40's- 50's thats where it gets tricky....Either way you have to take it case by case period no matter the age really...
My aunts neighbor is 46 has kidney stones diabetes , pretty much forced his 20 yo son to move back home to go to school locally in order to work and help out his parents...I run into breh every once in awhile and he real live always has that jaded blazed out look you could tell its from the stress...

I don’t know. They were on top of the world when they were in their 40s. I take it for granted that my family is health conscious because this mess is wild to me. Even my older cousins who are in their 40s are in the gym and cut. But I will say they aren’t the average guy any way.

Yesterday I did tactical weapons training in 90 degree heat and there was this old head in his 50s out there running and gunning with us having the time of his life.

OG from DC was out there with us 5 hours straight while the trainers were working us like dogs.

Made me low key look forward to being in my 50s assuming I’m in good health

Yeeeeea either that’s a kid who actually hates his dad, or this was written by a woman.

Totally understand the POV, but this isn’t something I can imagine a young kid writing unless he has issues with his dad.
Even if you have issues with your folks, they will get old. That’s just part of life.

Now, kind of resenting the fact that you’re the one with old parents definitely happens, but the tone of this is weird.
I almost think it’s a woman who resents her actual situation and she shared it from a kid’s perspective. But no one is thinking about their parent not having retirement funds as a teen LOL
