Any of ya'll ever thought about making hijrah to the lands of our people before you die?

Sometimes I think about hijrah because being a minority ethnicity and a minority religion in America is sometimes troubling because you have to defend against ethnic and religious stereotypes simultaneously. Even my non-Muslim African Americans friends will never really understand the feeling. To the media, on one hand I shoot dice all day, gangbang, and dont take care of my kids because I'm African American, then on the other hand I blow shyt up and I'm a terrorist because I'm Muslim. I'm shytted on in the media in ways that other African Americans around aren't because they at least share the dominant religion. The only non-discriminated social group affiliation I got going for me is being a male. Boy, imagine I were a non-white, Muslim, woman with ethnic, religious, and gender stereotypes at the same time.

This hadeeth was narrated by Muslim (145) from Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “Islam began as something strange and will revert to being strange as it began, so give glad tidings to the strangers.”

The fact that you feel this way because of peoples prejudices and the media is a testament to the prophecy foretold by the Prophet Muhammad PBUH. So hold tight to your deen and inshallah take the opportunity to make Hajj and visit the homeland of your peoples as well. This life is short and temporary your true home awaits in Jannah. Don't waste time worrying about what people think or say all that matters is what your ummah (community) thinks of you and those close to you. Salaam alaikum

just have patience with people.... or ignore them. Some chose to be ignorant.

but you should definitely go to parts of Africa and the Middle East, regardless of being Muslim.

Some misunderstandings ... there are no real "lands of our people" in Islam except for the religious sites

And you will not necessarily get treated better out there as a resident...

islam is a devil religion

I've read one of your post where you were going in on black Christians, Jews, Muslims etc because you're one of those guys who think that people should only follow religions based off of ethnic ancestry. This is close-minded tribalism. You think you're presenting cutting edge stuff, not realizing that the Quran specifically talks about people like you who Allah (swt) sent prophets to but they rejected the prophets because they wanted to stay on the misguidance of ancestors. Prophets came to towns with guidance and people sat back talking "well my ancestor this or that." People never change, ancient disbelievers are the same as modern disbelievers. But the funny thing is, modern people who don't believe in Allah (swt) think they have figured something out that other people in the past haven't.

The ancestors are not deities, they are not the end-all-be-all of knowledge, they didn't create the world, and they are people with flaws just like you. And if they knew so much about the unseen then they'd of prevented their own deaths. When you die, you answer to Allah (swt) not your ancestors. Ancestors NEVER come before God except in the mind's of people blinded by tribalism. Imagine if everybody in your village started worshipping a wild moose, would you do it too? This is ridiculous, you put people before Allah (swt) when Allah (swt) is before the people because Allah (swt) CREATED the people. You think that Africans, Europeans, Asians, etc should be segmented into different religions off of ancestry, when all those people are created by the same one God. Hypothetically speaking, since you put so much emphasis on following ancestors, what would happen if say you were born another ethnicity instead of your own? Say perhaps, you were born Greek instead of African Americans. Would you switch up and ditch Africa to go praise Zeus and Hercules knowing those are myths? After all, we all should be in religions based off of ancestry according to you.

lol, I'll be damned if I'd stick to a belief system just because "my tribe" believes it. Hell, I wasn't even raised Muslim either so I ain't never been no follower.
