I may be talking out of my ass about big law but as far as IB, once you get past your first year as an analyst 100% of base as a bonus is not uncommon. Even the middle performers are looking at something like 80-90 base and 75-85 as bonus, which is close enough.100% bonus in BigLaw and iBanking?!
It wasn't even like that in the mid-2000s peak
My new bonus structure is 10% of my salary twice a year...

Yeah IT is a cost shop not a revenue shop. You'd be lucky to even get 15% bonus in IT.
Unless you work for a software company whose job is to actually sell/distribute their product. Even then only the devs would be considered revenue generators
