I may be talking out of my ass about big law but as far as IB, once you get past your first year as an analyst 100% of base as a bonus is not uncommon. Even the middle performers are looking at something like 80-90 base and 75-85 as bonus, which is close enough.
Hmm that must be for higher ups i guess. My soon to be sister in-law works for a pretty big law firm and she makes 210k a year. Her signing bonus was 30 and her yearly bonus is 40. I cant imagine her yearly bonus being 210k
