I hope you and her parents have talked to her and tell her she's beautiful regardless of her skin color or the other kids. kids are very vulnerable around that age. the suggestion of having an all black school makes no sense cuz the real world doesn't work that way. raising a well rounded, respectful and smart niece is what's best. teach her well, breh.

funny how people love to comment on the black experience but won't lift a fukking finger to help. What a joke.
I won't, I'll lift a finger to help humanity though.

this is a interesting situation, and i dont think any of you have answered adequately to the situation.

we need better answer in here, because not let your children mingle with "cacs or white devils" is not the answer, and also homeschooling your black child secluding them from the world and not letting them experience life or not sending them to a "good school" isn't also.

so we need better answers, we try so much to never make race a factor and forget what happened. but it's still not working. our kids still will question it.

i think it's time to start being real with our kids, even though it's going to be hard. we still need to find a way to effectively be real with them but at the same time not rob them of their innocence. that's a hard task to complete.

As a parent one must make a sacrifice on their childs behalf because you cant have both. Either they know the struggle and their innocence is challenged, or they dont and its not and you risk them not having the knowledge or understanding they need about certain aspects of the world.

Nonetheless, its a hard feat to tackle.

its my brother in law, my sister is married to him, and they are not on their :mjpls: steeze.

just the area they live in and the school she goes to is basically just caucasions

They must be rich or something then.....school I went to was mostly immigrants or immigrant parents from all over with maybe 40-50% actual Canadian white kids if that. Ain't like you can't find diversity here if you're looking for it :yeshrug:. That's on the parents if they want it for their kid.

I'm just saying: if you really want to be in an all black neighborhood then be in one, but don't act as if all problems are non-existent once you're surrounded by black people. That's not reality, and I'm sorry that you love putting African Americans on this pedestal of greatness, but hate to confess of their weaknesses, and if you do then they're in result of what the white man has done.

I'm just too old to be playing that game, and way too smart as well. So whether you're black or white if we don't get on then we don't get on, and there is nothing else to say.

Who says we act like problems are non-existent? We are trying to identify causation so we can develop counter hegemonic and progressive strategies to fix issues. We have been trying to do this since we were brought to fukking place so I really don't get what you mean. And yes, African Americans are on a pedestal of greatness because we have survived countless attacks of oppression, murder, and exploitation and we are still here, learning, adapting, and hopefully one day breaking the degenerative cycle. If you feel as though you are too good to help us in our struggle, then move the fukk on, because we will be fine without you.

this is why we need our OWN schools.

her parents provably think they're doing her a favor by sending her to that school because I'm sure she's getting an excellent education there, but she's also learning to hate herself.

soon she stop complaining outwardly and begin to internalize the self-hate.

Black kids are better off being home schooled for a few years so they can develop a healthy love of themselves before integrating them into a school where "white is always right"

this is straight up bullshyt... i went to an elementary school that was 95% white and I never felt embarassed by my skin color... you cant homeschool your kids cause you dont want them to face the reality of a eurocentric society... I looked up to my Dad, my uncles and my cousins... I could see how the kids at school were squares compared to my extended family and I was proud to be the black kid... I dont know if that showed in school but i was always a well liked kid...

I just cant understand the justification of sheltering a black child... or making them go to an all black school so that they can love themselves... if anything the parents have the advantage of knowing these thoughts exist... they just need to expose their child to the greatness of black culture...

So black Americans aren't humanity huh?
Well technically they're not, but they're a part of humanity.

To lighten the shades, there's people all over the world that need help. If you think that I should be subjected to help a group of people because we share the same racial identity, then you're wrong.

Sure, I'm black but to be fair I'm a quarter white. These things are meaningless in the scheme of things because I'm a man of the people, and to say the least I see past the idiotic black ideology that is presented on here.

Nothing really to argue about, I'm over it.
