NYC Rebel
...on the otherside of the pond
black people complain about the black areas in New York being a dump and now they are upgrading some of the areas and they are still compaining.
are yall ever satisfied?
Your point is pretty pointless.

NYCHA is def the last holdout of old NYC. They are already forming "public/private partnerships". A good friend of mine lived in a converted building right in the middle of some projects down by the Manhattan Bridge on the Manhattan side. Lot of new folks living across the street from projects all over BK. Only a matter of time, esp if Quinn gets in and continues Bloomberg's "luxury city" policies. How many times is the NYT/WSJ gonna do this story only to be proven wrong time and time again? When Melrose,Mott Haven, and Beekman houses no longer exist then I will become a believer. East Harlem hasn't even been gentrified on a great scale why would developers/hipsters skip over the Eastside just to live in the last NY neighborhood that still resembles the 1990's?
I'm not in NYC right now, but there won't be much difference between these candidates as far as I can see. Interest groups run NYC politics, look at who has influence/numbers and you will be able to see what will happen in the future.Your point is pretty pointless.

If you are educated you can feast in the South
They don't know. The likes of Texas and North Carolina have some of the best economic opportunities in the nation. People still look down at the south like it's still the 1950s.

I mean it won't be great, but it will be much much much better than up here. NYC is actively working to clear out the working poor.![]()
I lived in the south for four years. Cut that "they don't know" feel good about myself shyt out.
I"m speaking about the poor working class people I know that moved out there.

Your hatred for the south is straight up ignorance. .
