That's a decent drive up 87, I don't know what the areas like, rent seems high to live way out there. There's no subway and you would have to drive to metro north.
I would probably live in Scarsdale/whiteplains at that point.

Ratchedness at the highest levels. But nah there are parts of the BX where gentrification is possible but I figured people wouldn't want to do deal with transportation/safety issues.

I would go to Riverdale, it's safe although most of the residents are a bit older than what you may be used to.
