Agreed. There needs to be a cultural movement towards group economics. I see a lot of shytty trinket stores pop up all along Franklin. I can't tell you what they sell. There stay being people in there patronizing.

My problem is when they try to impose their so called "values" and priorities.

I don't think they really try to impose anything upon anyone. I think they just follow the golden rule. He who has all the gold, makes all the rules. So when they own the businesses that make money which fund the politicians who lobby for laws to keep noise at a minimum or dogs in the park, they are just playing by their rules.

Priorities are something all humans should have in my opinion.

Them mother fukkers love bars, Franklin has like nine of them shyts. Black people don't go out like that. I respect the ones that are there like south and the other one like two blocks away. I also have to acknowledge the natural juice bar and the west Indian restaurant.

That's true. Most of those trinket shops are reflections of home of the migrants that open those businesses. When I visited Kenya and Haiti as well as other underdeveloped nations, many shopowners would have these little booths selling any and everything inside of there. They migrate to America and open the same booths because primarily that is what they know. People in the hood are familiar with the setup and go to support but technically the shop only provides the same thing that it did in their native land which is a way to get by.

I just wish they would just consolidate all those damn 99 cents stores man.

Here's the thing though, they don't own all the gold. Blacks are still the majority in a lot of these neighborhoods, they can easily get on some complaining and influencing politician shyt but that's not in our make up. Blacks like to live and let live, there's so many things they might do that annoy us that we can complain about but it's a free country. Just because the rules are there doesn't mean you should play by them and doesn't mean that it's right. That "own all the gold" shyt gives people with power to much lee way.

Truthfully, haven't been to any of them. Only place I've been is Dutchboy. And that was one of the first places I remember opening up. I only ever patronized because it sported a diverse group. Haven't been since I gave up red meat and alcohol though.

I'm currently saving up to move out of NYC due to frequent police abuse. The city has become inhospitable for me (I can't even sit in the park to look at trees or walk to the store without cops harassing me). Gentrification does bother me a bit. I don't feel too comfortable around 'try hard' doofus white people who casually use the 'n' word.

Anyone here live in Atlanta? Think I should move there? Rentals are cheap.

Not to be personal, but how much you make and what's your debt situation?
Multi-family homes 4 miles from downtown can be had for 100k or less, same could be said for any city not named Chicago; NY, Bay Area, LA.

People get mad when these people come in and open a coffee shop. When they were there for years and didn't open anything or DO anything.

When I see people complaining, I always say "What was your initial plan if the CACs never came and gentrify your hood?"

They say "Real nikka shyt" or "I was gonna open up a club"
