I’m still here at the writing of this thread. fukk this place! Y’all can keep it.

The city/county/state planning of this place is asinine and disjointed.

Really have to jump on a highway to go 5 miles.

Lenox Square was 18 miles away from where we were and took an hour on Saturday.

No distinct food identity besides Waffle House and frying anything.

Customer service for the places we visited were night and day.

Went for AfroPunk which was cool and Atlanta have women for your ass! I give y’all that plus. No woman made themselves unapproachable. The consensus is correct, if you couldn’t get a woman in Atlanta, it’s on you entirely. :smugfavre:

Since everything is so spread out like LA, it’s expensive and timely to be a player. If you like a women (or man :usure:), mind as well move in together because y’all won’t see each other often if you work and have to travel a lot. :hhh:

The gay shyt is largely exaggerated on here. If you see a lot of homosexuals then it says more about you than Metro Atlanta. :mjpls:

I couldn’t live here.

The homes are nice but couldn’t trade the convenience of South Florida.

The cities/counties really shut tf down early! When we get ready to go out, they’re coming back from the club. :picard:

It makes me really appreciate where I’m from.

It’s nice but not for me.

:manny: we moved here from the bay a couple of years back. we live outside the perimeter. what do you niccas be looking for when you come to atlanta? what are your expectations? my only complaint is the weather and the lack of Mexican food (which is about to change once we start hitting buford highway)

Them Afro Punk hoes wasn't hitting on shyt though. Seen all them hoes walking to the event and a lot statyed at my building for the weekend. This weekend was a dud. That pride parade was on my block. I was cooling at the lil store below my building and seen a 6'3 nikka walk by in some daisy dukes :francis: That was my cue to go in the house for the rest of the day. I love Atlanta though

I don’t have any expectations but rappers and reality shows do over sell this. Black Hollywood!?!? :russ::stopitslime:

It’s just Atlanta.

Well, it depends on the type of women one likes but Atlanta has diversity in women.

that's one of the mistake black folks make when relocating, is the opinion of other black folks regarding a region. "black Hollywood and black mecca". to hell with all that, where does god want you to go and whats best for your family. honestly since being here, we haven't even been on the lookout for what black folks do. we bought our house and we are raising our seeds

I'm from SFL too & I've been going to ATL 2-3× a year since 2005 due to family

My opinion?

-The women are dope, a lot of them are either baller or bust tho, if you're a janitor/cashier it might be hard for you
-Traffic is worse than Miami, unbelievably so, although it ain't really start getting bad till 09-2010
-No real food scene, but I don't really care cuz I'll eat anything lol
-The people are way nicer, in Miami you could live next to someone for 10 years and never say a word to them, in ATL I get a feel of Southern hospitality lol, from the natives at least
-The gay shyt is HIGHLYYYYYY overrated
-Inside the perimeter is just as expensive as Miami, but the burbs/outskirts are cheap as all hell, my sister had a 2BR/2bath for $850
-A lot of people acting flashy when they're really broke, even though ATL is cheap they got low ass wages to match the COL

Overall, I would live there but the traffic is absolutely ridiculous & the public transit is piss poor, if ATL improved MARTA they could legit be a top 3 city in the country. Also, with the low pay I could only live there if I was an entrepreneur with a thriving business.

I agree but the lifestyle and flexibility that I’m accustomed to would not service me here correctly.

If I had a big family and devoted my life to work and going home then can’t beat it. :yeshrug:

I just had to give my objective experience on this locale.
