I eat trash all week and on the weekends and all my blood work (cholesterol/blood/sugar/liver/blood pressure) point to perfect health. Especially for a man in his 30's :yeshrug: I think its the jiujitsu though. Look forward to the day i can eat healthier.

it may be all good now, but i'm sure it will add up in tha long run, then again its some people out there that get by fine :yeshrug: i guess its genetics or somethin

but i think tha biggest plus of eating healthy is i don't feel nauseated and sick like i do after i eat junk food, as i get older that junk food just make me feel like shyt, so i do it more for that reason, plus i think its a mental boost when u know ure eating healthy, tha mind is a powerful thing :smugbiden:

I have to think getting protein from food is best. That said I can't eat that much food each day with my current plan. That shake gets me to my macro or close to it.

How do you cut with no protein? Do you mean you are just losing weight overall? Cause to me, that is different than a cut.
Eat protein from lean meat, chicken, tuna, peanut butter, tuna, etc.

Pro body builders go extreme when cutting before a big competition. Not really a healthy way to do it but I think some just have an almost liquid diet of supplement and protein drinks for days leading up to a comp. They are very hungry after the comp is done.

I assumed when the previous poster said he didnt use protein, that meant all protein, not just protein powder, hence my question. My brother and sister-in-law are both pro competitors, and they still chicken breast and spinach it up before comp until the last 2 days.

Nah, I drink a lot of water. The doctor told me that it possibly came from too much protein. So I stopped drinking it and only get my protein from food. Also I used to drink a lot of Pepsi and that also could've played a part.

its always been my opinion that actual body composition has more to do with overall health than diet

theres so many folks in malnourished countries that do not suffer from america's "obesity" problems but instead have real problems like dysentery and malaria :leon:

I haven't used protein powder or counted my protein intake for a few months now. I estimate I get around 120-180g from food in a day give or take.....

Protein shakes are just convinent when you're extremely busy sohh I don't knock them.

Almost forgot this is what @MMSex is studying.

1.what do you define as unhealthy(fast food like Mcdonalds,KFC, Taco Bell ) daily or twice a day.

2. What are the portion sizes that you're consuming?(how many calories)Do you find yourself supersizing meals?

3. Do you drink soda? How often

4. Do you drink alcohol? How often: beer,wine, or liquor.

5.Do you get 8 hours of sleep?

6. Do you use any narcotics? How frequently?

Moral of the story, you shouldn't think of yourself as invisible and wait until it's too late to react. Look at Lil Wayne, I guarantee nowhere in a million years did he see a seizure coming. More than likely, it's from the "rock star lifestyle"

I do all that. My numbers are :win: but again, i lift and do jiujitsu 4 days a week and i train with killers so my blood flow is like :ooh: . Still, im going to change this shortly
