My parents divorce affected my views on relationships

i swear they never got remarried and most of my aunts / family relatives were single.
i lowkey thought being single was normal growing up
i had three relationships but i always heard stories about my dad/mom so i had trust issues with women

if you grow up hearing how bad it was how would you view relationships?
the sad thing is every one of the kids that grew up in a single parent home due to divorce in my family is still single meanwhile the kids that had mom and dads are in lt relationships and one got married last year

yeah the thing is what ive learned though is that supressing feelings isnt the way to go
alot of people are pro single parent households you hear women say they wanna e single parent by choice
shyts sad and your kid will deal with it wayy after you sugarcoated everything, because the issues still remain


companionship with intimacy is a basic human need so may times you see dudes fukking mad hoes and still feel empty afterwards
our upbringing can fukk us up but you cant act like you aint got feelings

Real shyt. You sounding dependent as fukk and you'll never be your own person depending on someone else for stability and happiness. You acknowledged a problem with your parents, good, now deal with the entirety of the issue instead of throwing it all on them. They didn't lay out your whole life for you. You do that.

if you can't look at relationships without the glasses your parents gave you then you're doing yourself a disservice and making anyone who wants to take you seriously in a relationship work much, much harder than they should
