Basically he felt that the our church wasn't growing for (we have a small church) his time so he left.
So that means you have to step up and be the man of the church now. 
seems a horrible reason to leave, i attend a small church as well one time last year we had like 6 people coming out on sunday, we moved and now were at 50 weekly

he gossip a lot & there was a fallout at church. (nothing sexual tho)

Awful reason to leave. Sounds like he didn't really care much for you guys afterall.
go find another chruch. it's good to venture out and listen to other pastors testimony. you'll learn more in the process.
gossip is prevalent at any black church.
sounds like he might have took that tithe box and took off
there will always be storms, why the bible says where 2 or 3.thats all you need, i only associate with small churches and pay my tithes and offering annonymously don't like these big ass mega churches where your just a number.
