naw you don't need it, nor will owning any source game help. you just have to install "Source SDK base 2007". it's in the 'tools' on steam and is free

it's not finished and they plan on releasing the Xen missions. anyone that played the OG knows the game gets pretty crazy after where this one left off

edit: deathmatch coming as well

actually I was never a big fan of the xen part. so the fact that they cut it off dont bother me much...

but yea great game
they changed a bunch of stuff for the better too

except surface tension, that was my favorite level and its kinda crippled in BM

grunt throwing a grenade down a pipe and you running the fukk back was in the original

I barely remember it, but I remember it was some crazy low gravity alien world, and it was very different from the rest of the game
