There are large chunks of America where you can leave your MacBook, Galaxy fold, wallet, and keys on a desk go to the bathroom and they are still there.

I have lived in a zip code where I dropped my wallet on an errand or left it in a shopping cart at a specialty store and it has been brought back to my front door untouched a day later. Or I can return the next day and find it where I left it

Something similar happened to me. I left my wallet on top of a pump at a gas station. Had like $300 in cash in it. Wrote that shyt off as an L, but came back to the station a couple of days later and the cashier recognized me from my ID. Said someone dropped it with him. All the cash was there, too.

Couldn't let that shyt happen to me though. I would've had them call a guardian. I would've taken the time to explain why I don't want to call 911.

If I had the time I would have, ideally I would have scared lil man into calling his parents and then I would have explained how they stole my phone and Walmart got them on camera doing it. Now whoop they ass when they get home... but the kid was 8 and highly unlikely to have a phone so now I gotta have an incident with an 8yr old?

On top of all this, my kids was left home alone and it was dinner time so I was like let's stroll, I got my phone, kid looked terrified, was crying n shyt. So we dipped. From a distance a person could have thought we was jacking him possibly?

If I had time I would have done more...

So initially the title was going to be SOME YN's caught me lacking' but I cringe when I see that used on YouTube because some videos I see with that title then has a white (likely Ai) voice narrating
