:sadcam:The other day in class, my professor was talking about all these advancements bein made in gene therapy/bioengineering and gene sequencing and how most scientists and companies are secretly advancing research and development in genetic enhancement for the purpose of designer babies as even tho its illegal in the west, in places like china and India, it aint illegal and there are millions of rich chinese people who dont gaf about the moral implications of Eugenics and are willing to enhance their seeds to let their children have an edge in the global laboit markets e. So past few days got me thinking about how fukked up the future will be by then. Im starting to think that by the time we will all be old people, the world would have changed so much that most of us would be considered neanderthals. There will probably be an enhanced superior elites taking the top jobs and pretty much ruling the world and unless u have the cash to enhance ur children, ur descendants will be stuck in a cycle of poverty and serfdom. :patrice:

That's just the half of it, when they start infusing robotics and other non-human species' genes into these GM Humans ...........

Genetically engineered babies are in the near future; I remember I saw a video in my high school biology class back in 2002 ish about this. You never what will happen later on in life because of the manipulation of genes; will it cause new stronger cancers that are immune to chemo and etc. Also the big concern is that everybody will look a like; there will be no more diversity.

That wont stop people from trying enhance their genes tho, especially those who come from elitist cultures that only focus on the material world like japan or China .:patrice:And it would be worth it anyway, if you could have a workforce that had an averahe iq of 150, but they all died in their 50s due to complications, I bet they would be able to contribute 100x more to technological advancement and create more wealth than their non enhanced peers inspite of their limited life expectancy. Would you rather live 50 years of your life as Superman or 100 years as an average joe?

Waits patiently for rappers to hype up smashing GM video vixens...eyes change color depending on the weather or mood, doesn't gain weight so ass to waist ratio never changes, p*ssy smells like hot baked apple pie with cinnamon sprinkled on top, reversible hair styles at the touch of a button just under her left ear. She got a wi-fi enable brain, so she can cook you a full course meal via connection to actual robot maid.

Oh the fukkery is just getting started....:lupe:.......... :leostare:

Everyone will slowly begin to look the same based on whatever beauty standard exists in their country, just like instagram...

No more skin bleaching necessary. No tanning required. No weave necessary. No buttshots.

Just get all that and blue eyes pre-ordered.

But yea it's pretty close. Remember they've already created genetically modified designer dogs that have significantly more muscle definition than normal dogs.

Mentally, some people are more comfortable looking like themselves, and will see no need to modify themselves to fit an empty standard.

No it's not going to stop. Gene manipulation goes way back; with the nazi's and during the atlantic slave trading travest, but not to the extent that it is today, with the advancement of bio-technologies.

Having a society of high iq's could have it's pro's and con's. An high iq does not mean you have common sense or it does not necessarily mean your going to make the best decisions. If a war is started are they going to put their brightest and smartest on the front line to be killed; an argument is that they probably would develop robots to fight the war, but you have to think about everything.

I use to work in the bio-tech field and a high iq does not mean you smart; I worked with people with "smart" people, but they make "dumb" decisions.

automation and bots will take care of menial jobs(soldiers, bartenders, drivers, chef, mid to low tier white collar jobs, manufacturing)and if you aint in the 90th percentile, theres a good chance youll be irrelevant to the labour markets since ull be easily replaceable by a robot and ur skills are not needed.
Experts predict robots will take over 30% our jobs by 2025 -- here's why you should care

So people will be forced to enhance their children so then they wont be apart of the jobless and impoverished underclass

The smartest of individuals have always been the more creative people. Creativity cannot be obtained from modifying genes either, it is based solely on how a person thinks and the experiences she/he has acquired throughout their lifetime. So there would still be a way to differentiate between the smarter individuals and the less smart ones. Take a look at Einstein, he wasn't the best physicist on the IQ scale, but he was the most creative, thus more intelligent than his peers. Feynman has a similar case. He bragged about his low IQ of 130 and look at what he was able to accomplish and come up with. Feynman's peers were touting IQs of 145+, yet most of them weren't in Feynman's league. Just because your IQ is high does not mean you are more intelligent than one with a lower IQ.
