My PS3 got the yellow light bullshyt, where do i go from here?

Yea yea I know get a ps4 or whatever. But I don't want a ps4, I really don't play video games like that and I love my PS3. Do they fix it for free like with the 360? I'll pay to get it fixed but I want everything left the way it is as far as my saved games and all that. I've had this thing for years, never thought it'd get that yellow light shyt. Help a breh out

that shyt is inescapable. you could fix it but it will come back eventually. my shyt lasted 4 years when sent to Sony. a few months when fixed by others. there is no permanent fix.

There are only 2 options.

Send it back to Sony to see if they will replace the whole system or send it to someone so they can reflow/reball the console.

Reflowing or reballing are extreme cases that are not always long term solutions. Whoever is willing to do this work for you will also apply high quality thermal compound as well as clean any buildup that was inside.
