That's a shame. My PS3 got the yellow light of death twice and I would've thought that Sony would've removed the problem permanently from their future consoles, but that doesn't seem to be the case. Makes me happy that I've been picky lately in regards to what I spend my money on. Every Sony console I've owned has died on me except my PSP. I toss that around like a piece of trash and it still works perfectly. Only the power button is a little fukked up, but that's easily manageable.

Good thing it broke within the warranty time. I wish the OP good luck for a better unit next time.

Slap an extended warranty on your shyt, brehs. That's what I did for mine. PS4 still strong and I don't have to worry for 3 years. :win:

Of course the old systems didn't break, they didn't have any moving parts! Once you add moving parts to any piece of equipment the failure rate skyrockets.

We acting like the PSX didn't need to be flipped upside down to read discs? The PS2 didn't stop reading blue discs?

My ps1 worked for years until the laser mirrors needed replacing... never had to turn mines upside down though. :mjlol:

glad i bought that 2 year warranty with BB. Had trouble with my ps4. Took it back and gave me a new one no questions asked. Gave me $71 credit for the warranty. Paid $20 to get a new warranty on the new ps4

yeah, I didn't have problem with a game system breaking til PS2. that sucker broke on me a few times with disc read errors. got YLOD on my OG fat PS3. hopefully PS4 will have solved all this foolishness.

speaking of PS3, I totally dismantled mines yesterday cuz I couldn't get this max payne 3 game to play for some reason and I was bout to replace the blu ray drive cuz it was making noise. but I ended up just resetting the blu ray and cleaning the lense and now its quiet and running good. not to mention it's clean as hell on the inside with no dust anywhere.

suprisingly, none of my computers ever break, and I use them way more than these consoles.
