My recent encounters with MLM pyramid scams: WAKEUPNOW, VISALUS, 5LINX and LIMU

These mlm's prey on minorities, out of college grads, and poor people (all interchangeable).

It saddens me to see so many black men and women wrapped up in these shady non-businesses.

Newsflash...unless it's publically traded on the nyse, is BBB accredited, and you don't have to pay to play, it's more than likely a scam. But nah...Nikkas see videos filled with rented luxury cars, rented mansions, rented private jets, and rent money displayed and think it's all real...

my girls sister who we kinda held to a higher standard has been trying to get her to join some fake travel agency shyt. Talmbout you get discounts on vacations and you get 70% commission on trips you sell. Telling my girl she would work under her and that it would be great because we travel a lot and plus she can promote it on campus she just dropped like four notches in my book

Must be that "paycation" shyt. That's the new shyt these idiots are peddling, the prime suspect, mr. Chad "entrepreneur" Thompson left 5linx to join paycation and start the same nonsense.

You see...This is what I don't get about these mlm companies.

Other than all of the get rich quick stuff...The services and products they actually offer aren't that impressive.

Discounts on vacations you could probably find somewhere else for free.
Car insurance, towing, auto repair that could be cheaper with AAA or someone else.
Prepaid wireless and gift cards that could be found online....for free or a fraction of the cost.
Energy drinks, vitamins, and beauty products you'll never see in an actual store (has anyone here ever drank a can of thunder energy drink?)

And the people that sign up for it and pay more money buying into the business than they get out of it actually think they're going to be successful doing it

No lie....I actually used to work for one such company back in the summer of 2005.

I actually got fired from that job the first week I was there. It was so shady and just slimy and the people that worked there were shady as all hell, that was the only job that I was happy I got fired from (and the only job I got fired from).

People leaving their good paying jobs for c00nun!

As for wun compensation plan only 4% of the members making small profits, and that's only on the average of $600 a MONTH! The only members that's living off that c00nun life are the 1 per centers. At least 95% members of c00nun are not making any cash...

I can get my FSD ( Fire Safety Director) License and make at least 30-50k a year in NYC. Heck even being a security guard can bank you at least 25 k a year. Even a garbage man makes more money that wun members.

that's the thing about MLM. what they're selling is irrelevant. they are in it to to get more suckers to join and pay those membership fees. that's how the folks at the top of the pyramid get paid.
