Most pharmacies have rapid take home testing. Cost about $25-$30. Here where I’m at you can get them from Walgreens or CVS. I think the Walgreens equivalent down in Florida is Eckerds?

I’m with you with for this... my wife and I are vax’ed. I’ve mentioned before that my wife is an NP. Us and the kids mask up, but we def want kids in school. Same for the majority of my family. Kids 2-7 need social skills. It’s important and not having this stunts growth, more-so then the actual math, reading, etc in school. You already saw the affect it had on kids who missed school in 2020 and came back in 2021.

Don’t y’all have free test kits you guys can order and send back samples to see whether you got it or not? There’s two types. One you can get results after 30 mins but it’s 50% and the other one where you send back samples and wait 2 days for the results.

So we pulled our son outta school since 2020 due to COVID and we did homeschooling. He was fine and really advanced quickly and all was fine. The teachers and the whole system were supportive and helped us figure and set thing up. Never any issues.

However this year the tune changed, the principal called us several times and kept asking if I’m still traveling and how the newborn was doing. One day she insisted that we sent him to school cuz he is more active and was very liked by his peers. I told her once they come with a safe way for kids to learn I would not mind. She then said we have to listen to Desantis and do what’s best for the kids. I went on her Facebook page and yeap her whole friends are big Trump supporters.


We took him to school and only some black kids had on a mask. No social distancing. Nothing.

I brought up all concerns and she thought I was exaggerating and he should be fine as they barely had any cases.

Day 2 I received a call that some kid had an emergency and had to be taken to the hospital. They then found out it was COVID. She called me to tell me “Just quarantine him for now but he should be fine”.

Of course he caught COVID and I asked her if they had any resources. Of course they had none.


Check this out though. No testing centers in the whole county. All been shut down. Desantis limited the amount of boosters we get here in the state and the amount of vaccines too. Anyway we’re all doing better now and I just wanted to tell y’all I’m vaccinated and this virus did not hit me as bad as it hit others and I’m grateful we all took our vaccines.

Omicron is affecting kids... and it's spreading to their parents.

I know 4 kids that are on virtual now cuz they tested positive..... and then the parents tested positive.

I think kids should stay in school also, but masks distancing and testing should be available. Also hand soap and sanitizer and maybe a brief recess to get outside air.
