A list without Mayweather? I don't know about that...dude NEVER lost :patrice:
That can't be your reasoning breh lol, he's not the only boxer to never lose. Nobody puts Andre Ward or Rocky Marciano in the top five of anything.

Ali
Sugar ray rob
Sugar ray leonard
Roy jones
Tommy hearnes
Is this based on skill or record? Roy was one of the most if not the most talented of all time but his recircig opponents is weak relative to his all time great peers. Hearns also lost some big fights that knock him down

too many great fighters to make an all time top 5, well too many great black ones

easy to make a:mjpls:list

1. Jack Dempsey
2. Jake LaMotta
3. Max Schmeling
4. Vitali Klistcho
5. Eminem if you played in the southpaw movie with the new face of boxing Jake Paul has an honorable runner up
Not gonna lie....Tyson Fury should be on this list. :mjpls:

You have to beat great fighters to be an all time great list, Tyson Fury hasn't beaten any great fighters, Vitali Klistcho makes the list by default because he had a classic with Lennox Lewis even though he lost, Tyson Fury fought his younger brother past his prime and he was always the lesser of the brothers, so he doesn't make the list, I'd put Joe Calzaghe on the list

but Eminem playing the role of southpaw would still be greater and so would Jake Paul, who has win of Tyron Woodley who is going into the UFC hall of fame one day, and he's fighting one of the greatest combat athletes Anderson Silva, and has overachieved as a novice

You gotta realize boxing in the 20’s, 30’s, 40’s and 50’s was the most popular sport in the world. Even bigger than soccer and baseball (America). Everybody boxed in school, in the streets, for drinking money etc.

Sugar Ray Robinson was at one time in his career something like 129-1. Meaning he probably beat up someone you knew personally either in the gym, the streets or the ring. The 1 loss to Lamotta he avenged by beating him nearly to death at middleweight.

Now if you want to fill out a top 5 you can’t leave out the Hammering Hank. Held featherweight, lightweight and welterweight titles at the same time. 1 belt by the way. Not the 4 we have now

Bernard Hopkins, James Toney, Virgil Hill, Mike McCallum, Tito Trinidad, John Ruiz, Antonio Tarver. Who's resume is making those dudes look weak? :patrice:

I like OPs list but you gotta put Floyd over Hearns bruh cmon

Bernard Hopkins, Toney, McCallum are great wins. But Tito was a finished fighter and above his weight class. Ruiz was a gotdamn bum. Tarver is ok but it’s controversial and he lost the next 2.

It’s not that Roy wasn’t great it’s when you are talking top 10-20 fighters you are talking guys who had hundreds of fights and beat everybody around them. It’s hard to break into that echelon. Like comparing a modern general to Alexander the Great. Fighting was viewed different back then.

Cool list but no Pernell Whitaker or Floyd in your top 5. You can’t say it can’t be refuted.that’s just your list. Nothing wrong with it tho. Still respectable. But naw
Breh, Sweet P is in nobody's top 5 but yours. :russ: Now if we talking solely defensive, then yes he is.
