The EU is a bicameral system, where no legislation gets passed without member states voting on it. Much of it's legislation is voted on with unanimity in the council, which means that the uk has a veto, just like any other member state. The only reason the uk joined the eu in the 1970's was so that it had a voice in the eu, because it realized that it had to adapt to its legislation anyways because of the power of the common market. Before it joined, it had tried to set up its own club, the european free trade association, in order to compete with the eu, but that failed. Then it begged to be allowed into the eu (or european community as it was called back then) but the french said no way, these sheisty motherfukkers are going to ruin the whole thing
. Only after de Gaule died did the uk get a chance to join, and gladly did. Sovereignty is a big word with little meaning in an interconnected world with global supply chains, bu I'll let you enjoy your fukk the eu party for as long as it lasts 
In my industry (software / finance / startups) many believe it will reduce £££. Therefore my P is reduced.
Overall I don’t know enough about politics to say strongly why I want to remain. Except that cac xenophobia and racism was a key driver for Brexit.

The UK is pulling out of the common European market because of immigration..too many eastern Europeans and migrants in the U.K. because Brussels decides. Fine, i get that.
So how do the same rotten teeth Brits then turn around and impose sanctions on Mugabe for doing practically the same thing.
And if the U.K. pulls out of Europe they are worthless to the larger world. No power or influence anymore. Why negotiate a trade deal with the U.K. when you can just deal with the eu?
The U.K. is banking on its one sided and fraudulent commonwealth to take care of it. If the U.K. leaves Europe then the former colonies must leave the commonwealth..seems fair.

The excessive EU hate is wild corny.
It has some racist elements but being okay with the EU would be like Americans being okay with creating a federation with Canada and Mexico. Overnight we would have millions of Mexicans over here and all of our policies would depend upon what’s going on in Montreal & Mexico City. Y’all cool with that?
