Actually that's not true, 2016 black turnout dropped by 6%(it went from 66% in '12 to 60% in '16). When you factor the number of articles from this election cycle, that show our displeasure w/ voting, there's a good chance black turnout will drop again this year too.

I could care less about side eye treatment on the internet especially when the champion of the cause refers to black women as gorillas(indirect jab not directed towards you), and it isn't merely as simple as not voting we will go with those who support our agenda, just because a few users yell one thing doesn't make it so, ados is vast you have users who vote locally for those that support them, only here is it some grand scheme to dismantle the democrats.

We've given years of support to democrats for nothing and the minute we ask for something in return we get this kind of backlash? I'm not too worried because I know regardless of who holds presidency our position will remain the same so this isn't battle that can wait because the next black person who gets clapped could be someone you know(let us hope not) and we won't be getting justice if we continue to wait and show support with no questions asked of those who are suppose to be working in our best interest.

No candidate can specifically promise anything for any group. They may have covert policies, but mentioning certain groups is not going to win a general election.


You need to pay more attention to LOCAL elections.

Someone is going to get into office regardless of you voting or not.

A substantial number of one group can not even vote, which is why Democrats are always seeking ways to naturalize them. On top of they don't always vote reliably for one party or the other.
