I have a macbook; bruh you sound like my mom with these computer questions. Really you just need to keep your os up to date to stay virus free. But I do have avast for mac and ccleaner to get rid of junk files.

There is no task manager for mac; so if you want to kill a frozen program you press cmd+opt+esc
https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201236

I also think you do not have to buy the software again; just setup your same account just like in your iPhone to your macbook.
The mac equivalent for my computer is finder. and command prompt is command line in mac.http://m.wikihow.com/Get-to-the-Command-Line-on-a-Mac .

I'm at work right now if I was at home I could help more

when I went in the app store, there was no app for mac for excel/powerpoint/word etc. I just went and dropped the $10 and copped the official office suite thru the gig and saved myself the headache. I am not trying to fukk with torrents on this computer just yet.

Same here. I just use my macbook for clean stuff; downloading bootlegs and other stuff I use my desktop. Macbook are expensive to get fixed; but I have not had a problem with it in like 2 years.

one more question. I am not seeing an equivalent of "my computer" from windows. how do I see where I'm downloading files to? or where pics/music might reside?

There is a task manager for Mac, it's called Activity Monitor...

The command line is called Terminal... Both can be found in Applivations < Utilities... It's also where you can find the other tools used to manage the Mac.

My Computer can be found by opening a Finder window or preferences if you're trying to get to the network side..

But imo, the shyt runs itself. Just find a tutorial online or Google shyt. I'm not a command line nikka on personal computers because I think it's stupid when you have the applications listed in the UI basically.. But if you enjoy that shyt and like using hot keys then Google that shyt.

You pick where you send your downloaded files too... Usually to a folder called Downloads... Mines sits in my Dock for easier access...

But you go to File > New Finder Window > and it will list all your files. Click on a HD and go to Users, your computer, and your shyt should pop up
